TOUCH SEASON 2010/2011

Welcome to the 2010/2011 Touch on the Park season. We will again be running Touch on a Wednesday and Thursday evening. The emphasis is on providing a fun and well-organised Module, covering 19 weeks of play. Two weeks of grading, 16 weeks of competition and two weeks of finals.
Points will be as follows; Win = 3 pts, Loss = 0 pts and Draw = 1 pt each.

(The Touch Director reserves the right to cancel a grade, or combine, if insufficient entries ). Please note that up to 2 dispensations will be allowed in the 50 plus (must be 45-49) and
Mixed Masters (30-34 years of age) and these must be clearly indicated on the registration form.

Prizes will be awarded for 1st, 2nd and 3rd in each grade.

Competition Points and Rankings

 

Competition Points:               Win     = 3 points

                                                Draw   = 1 point

                                                Loss     = 0 points

 

For a Win by default, a game score of 5 goals (touchdowns) to 0 is recorded, with “win” competition points awarded.

 

“Win” competition points are awarded for a “bye”.  (Game score 0 – 0)

 

Ifa team is transferred from one grade to another, competition points andgoals scored for and against in all games played prior to the transfer(excluding grading games) are carried forward to the new competition.

 

Rankings:      

In order to determine the semi- finalists, the following criteria, in order, will be applied:

1.      Competition points

2.      If competition points for teams are equal, then the winner of the game(s) between the equal teams is ranked higher

3.      Ifthe games between the teams have resulted in equal wins and/or draws,then the team with the bigger difference between goals for and goalsagainst in games between the equal teams is ranked higher

4.      Ifthe equal teams have not played each other, or the difference in 3above is equal, then the team with the higher goal difference over allgames played by the equal  teams is ranked higher

5.      If the goal difference in 4 above is the same, then the equal teams will be ranked by the toss of a coin

REFEREES

 

  • More referees, male or female, for both nights are required. Training will be provided. Team tops should avoid YELLOW, as this is the colour worn by referees.
  • Teams must have same coloured tops and be numbered by end of grading or else they will be penalized.
  • Games will only be cancelled due to inclement weather. A decision to cancel will not be made until 3pm. A recorded message will also be on the Club answer phone if the Module is cancelled and on the BRFC website – www.burnsiderugby.co.nz

$400 per team if paid on or before 28th October 2009
$450 per team if paid after 28th October 2009

Note: If the full fee is not paid before 26th November the team will be withdrawn.
Entries close on 2nd October 2009. Registrations will not be accepted without a Managers signature.
