Come and play, coach, manage and/or support at Burnside Rugby Club. We welcome everyone to enjoy the great atmosphere and friendly people. You can contact us
HERE. We have wide and very sucessful representation throughout our
Senior Rugby and
Junior Rugby grades. There's something for everyone at Burnside Rugby Club - the "Best in the West". You can join us over summer at our hugely popular Touch Rugby competitions as well.
A Little History - The Burnside Rugby Football Club was formed at a meeting of enthusiastic locals at the Fendalton Community Hall on 28th August 1957. The club colours were set as Red and White jerseys, Black shorts and Red and White hoop socks.
The club applied to the Canterbury Rugby Football Union for Fendalton Park to be the home ground. At its First Annual General Meeting on 11th March 1958 the CRFU made the offer, which was accepted, of Burnside Park as the home ground for the club. Want to know more - go to our HISTORY page.
